Modalities

Sports Deep Tissue

Massage addressing specific needs of athletes. Can be used pre-event or post event to promote optimal muscle performance and injury healing. Suggested for areas of the body with repetitive stress or over use from excessive movement and activity.

Cupping

Cupping therapy helps draw inflammation from deep in the tissues to be released. It increases local blood supply to the muscles and skin while bringing nourishment and allowing toxins to be carried away through the lymphatic system. It can provide relief for chronic and acute symptoms with minimal discomfort, causing tense muscles to soften quickly and easily Cupping is not suggested for those on blood thinners, heart conditions, or any other serious medical conditions that may affect day to day living.

Faq

Muscles commonly get over worked from repetitive movements and postures which can produce toxins and waste buildup in them. This can cause soreness, stiffness and discomfort, such as muscle spasms and tension. Massage Therapy helps improve the circulation and increase blood flow, bringing fresh blood and oxygen to the tissues. This can eliminate waste buildup in muscles, and improve recovery time for injuries and strains.

At your first visit you will fill out a health history form and we will do a thorough in-take discussing any conditions; medical, physical, or emotional; that are required for the massage session. I will always communicate with the client before, during and after the massage to ensure comfort level and cover any concerns or questions the client may have. Your massage will be tailored to each client’s concerns and injuries using different techniques and modalities.

Gratuities are not expected, but appreciated.

After your massage session, it is recommended that the client drinks plenty of water to help flush out the toxins that were released during the session. It is normal for the client to experience slight discomfort or soreness after the session, similar to soreness experienced after a workout. This is a result of the increase in circulation and release of toxins in the tissues. The soreness should only last a day or two, and if needed ice can be applied to the sore area for 10-15 minutes.

Every situation is unique per client. It is normally recommended once every 3-4 weeks for most healthy individuals. Clients with injuries are usually recommended weekly or every two weeks to keep up with healing and recovery.
